Hayes fisherman catches 2 citation red drum

Steven Henron of Hayes had a very good fishing day on June 15.

Casting lures in Chesapeake Bay, he caught and released two red drum—one measuring 52 inches in length, and the other 50 inches.

Other citation catches newly reported in vasaltwaterjournal.com include:

Aaron Leigh of Dutton, a 58.5-inch cobia caught and released on June 8 at New Point Comfort. Leigh was casting lures; and

Michael E. Hurst of Ware Neck, a 10-pound, 6-ounce sheepshead caught June 20 at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Hurst was fishing with crab.
