Harold Dean Stacy Sr., 80, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 16, 2016, peacefully at home.

Dean was born in Verona, Missouri, on February 6, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth Stacy of Monett, Missouri, and his brother, Franklin Stacy of San Diego, California. 

Dean grew up in Monett, graduating in 1954. He served in the Navy for 20 years and retired as a Chief. Dean served time on several carriers, the most notable being the USS Forrestal. He started as a plank owner, survived the fire of ‘67, and ended with the last cruise of his naval career. He continued with the government in civil service for 18½ years, retiring in 1992 as a GM-13.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rochelle; son, Dean Jr. (Mary); daughter, Kathryn (David); granddaughter, Brooke (Chris); and great-grandson, Camden; sister-in-law, Len Todd (Winfred) and several nephews, a niece, and cousins.

Dean was interred August 22, 2016 at Princess Anne Memorial Park In Virginia Beach with military honors.
