Harmful Waste Collection Day in Gloucester on Oct. 18

The fall 2014 Household Harmful Waste Collection Day for Gloucester County residents will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. next Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Hayes Convenience Center on Guinea Road.

The collection will allow residents of the county an opportunity to dispose of items such as automobile waste, painting supplies, gardening supplies and other items such as small propane canisters, pool chemicals, batteries, computers and monitors.

Items not accepted include ammunition, explosives, fireworks, marine and other flares, radioactive waste, asbestos, drugs, medicines and medicinal waste as well as television sets, computer keyboards and printers and regular household trash.
