Happy Oyster offers ‘5-star food at 2-star prices’

The Happy Oyster Pub & Grill has opened in Glenns under the ownership of Josh Hollandsworth. The restaurant, which is in its first month of business, operates out of the same building where Ann’s Family Dining was located for many years.

“The building is so nostalgic for many people,” the owner said.  “That’s why we worked up to 18 and 20 hour days on this renovation.”

Hollandsworth has worked in the restaurant business since he was a teenager, opening his first restaurant at 18. He sold this first business so he could pay to study at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. There he finished a five-year degree ahead of schedule in 2002 with diplomas for pastry and cuisine. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, Hollandsworth went on to operate two more restaurants before opening The Happy Oyster.
