Happy 40th birthday, RWRH

Riverside Walter Reed Hospital celebrated its 40th anniversary on Sunday afternoon with a party on the lawn at the intersection of Main Street and Walter Reed Way in Gloucester. A large crowd brought lawn chairs on a picture-perfect day to enjoy some appetizing fare provided by food trucks and music by The Original Rhondels. Above, hospital board chairman Dr. Richard Crowder addresses the crowd, talking about the history of the hospital which first opened its doors on Sept. 11, 1977.
