Halloween events Saturday in Mathews

The Mathews Historical Museum at 198 Main Street will hold a Halloween celebration at the museum from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

Events will include a children’s costume contest, with winners announced at 2 p.m.; sale of lunches (chili and chili dogs with sides, and takeout chili; and shopping opportunities.

THMS Halloween Bash

Thomas Hunter Middle School will hold its inaugural Motor Show and Halloween Bash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The program will include a motor show, live music, trunk and treat, haunted trail, food trucks and a 50/50 raffle. The event is free for spectators. Social distancing is encouraged.
