Hall of Fame inductees honored at GHS

The Gloucester High School Athletic Department honored its 2013 Hall of Fame inductees with a reception and induction ceremony at GHS on Sept. 27. The new inductees are Clint Binder, Sherwin Green, Joey Legg, Jerry Morgan, Tim Poland and Cindy Robins. The following biographical information for the inductees was provided by GHS:

Binder, Class of 1997, holds the GHS pole vaulting record of 13 feet as well at the Peninsula District outdoor record of 14’9". He was a district and regional pole vaulting champion and a state runner-up.

Binder achieved his top clearance at the University of Tennessee with a vault of 17’3" and is on the top 10 list of pole vaulters at UT. He was also a member of the Vols’ Southeastern Conference Track and Field Championship teams of 2001 and 2002. Binder is now an account executive for Comcast Business.
