Habitat’s ReStore now located in White Marsh

Gloucester-Mathews Habitat for Humanity is now operating its ReStore, a household and building materials store, at White Marsh Shopping Center.

Charlene M. Winter, a member of the Habitat board of directors, said the ReStore moved during the Christmas holidays from its previous location near Hayes. The new location, which opened Jan. 4, has 12,000 square feet (including 2,000 square feet of office space), triple the space at its former location.

ReStore has been able to expand its offerings with more space, Winter said. Clothing, which was not stocked before because of space limitations, is now offered, with an assortment of wearables for men, women and children.

The larger space also provides plenty of room for donated supplies of lumber and building materials, as well as items as varied as furniture, electronics, appliances, books, tapes and decorative wreaths.
