Habitat to hold ‘Raise the Roof’ fundraiser

“Raise the Roof,” the first major benefit ever organized for Habitat for Humanity of Gloucester-Mathews, an evening of live music, dancing and food, will be held at the Gloucester Moose Lodge on Saturday, April 8, beginning at 7 o’clock.

Sweet Madeleine’s will be providing heavy hors d’oeuvres. A silent auction supported by local merchants will run through the early evening and will include the sale of a one-acre tract in the Coke area and a two-night stay on Assateague.

The Nashville Nights Band, an energetic, top 40 country music cover band, will perform. Individually, its members have played with popular local bands, national touring acts, traveled around the world as a member of the United States Army Band, sung the national anthem at the New York City Half Marathon, played at a presidential inauguration, recorded an album in Nashville, and released a single that was played around the world.
