GYF Knights have weekend of gameplay

The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights played several games over the weekend. The 6U Knights defeated the York Seaford Falcons, 30-14, on Saturday and Bennett Creek, 6-0, on Sunday. The 8U Knights fell to the 757 Colts, 13-0. Notable players for the 8U Knights were Carson Robbins, Tristan Riley and Apollos Davison. The 10U Knights fell to the Colts, 26-19. Chase Robbins led the defense for the Knights with five tackles, followed by Kaleb McArthur with three, Nicholas Pecina and Carter Wilson, two each, and Penelope Bishop and Alexander Elias with one tackle apiece. Michael Blasing recorded one tackle for loss. Michael Smith led the offense with eight carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Blasing had five carries for 52 and Cooper Crittenden had three carries for 14 yards. The 12U undefeated Knights defeated the Colts, 25-6. In the first play of the game, J.J. Koch pitched to Rylee Hogge who threw to Anthony Hodges for a 55-yard reception which resulted in a touchdow...
