Gwynn’s Island, Gloucester Point earn spots in ‘best of’ lists

Two local communities have received special recognition over the past several weeks. Both Gwynn’s Island and Gloucester Point were noted on two separate websites as being the “best of” in several different categories.

Gwynn’s Island came in first place under the category, “10 More of the Most Charming Small Towns in Virginia” on the website, www.onlyinyourstate.com. According to the website, Gwynn’s Island represents the top of 10 readers’ picks.

It states Gwynn’s Island is a “gem of a small town that sits at the mouth of the Piankatank River on an island in the Chesapeake Bay.” It mentions Gwynn’s Island as “hands down, the readers’ choice winner” and that it was “easy to see why.”
