Gurleys at Arts on Main

Arts on Main will host musicians Bill and Pam Gurley on Saturday at the next “Music on Main” concert, a series of concerts by local and regional artists. The performance starts at 7 p.m., with doors open at 6:30. Bill and Pam Gurley will present an evening of folk, bluegrass and blues, with a bit of humor thrown in as well. The couple has deep roots in the Tidewater area and started singing together on their first date, according to a release. Bill is a multi-instrumentalist, moving from guitar to banjo to fiddle. Bill and Pam make their home in Lancaster after restoring a family farmhouse there. Bill teaches music privately while Pam is a professional chef. They have recorded several CDs; Bill and Pam also front a bluegrass band known as “Fiddlesticks” with friends they have known since high school.
