Guinea Heritage Day to be held Sunday

The public is invited this Sunday to Guinea Heritage Day, a prelude to the Guinea Jubilee, which will be held later this month. Guinea Heritage Day, which begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Abingdon Ruritan Club, Bena, will include an introduction of this year’s grand marshal, the winning poster artist and preview of this year’s print, and the children’s art contest winners.

Those who attend will also have the first chance to purchase new T-shirts, collectibles and prints and even have this year’s print signed by the artist. Visitors will also enjoy a reception, with light refreshments, while perusing the Guinea memorabilia display. This display will include wooden collectibles of various buildings around Guinea.
