The Abingdon Ruritan Club delivered meals for the Gloucester United Emergency Shelter Team, or GUEST, located in Gloucester Point on March 6. GUEST is a coalition of Gloucester religious and community organizations who provide hypothermic shelter during the winter months. GUEST operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the winter months to provide a day shelter and a night shelter for the homeless in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Ruritan Social Development members Bunny Ekdahl, Sandy Jordan, Bill Jordan and Mike Ekdahl, from left, were happy to provide a hot nutritional meals to current shelter occupants.
