Grella installed as senior pastor at Newington Baptist

Chris Grella was installed as senior pastor of Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester on Sunday.

Born in Fairfax County, Grella graduated from Virginia Tech where he earned undergraduate degrees in both Broadcast Communication and History. He began ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) where he served seven years as a radio producer, as well as campus staff/area director on campuses in Orlando and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Mr. Grella graduated from Bethel Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Transformational Ministry Leadership and has previously served at five churches (Minnesota, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania) in a variety of ministry positions, before arriving at Newington. He has been an Outreach Pastor; Youth Pastor; Small Groups pastor; Children and Family Ministry Pastor and a Senior Pastor in over 22+ years of ministry.
