Nikki Broughton of White Stone, is an optician at Green’s Optical, located at 4156 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes.

“Optical was my ‘start-over’ career,” said Broughton. “After multiple attempts at careers that just weren’t suited for me, I went back to school to be an optician. I had no idea what I was in for, but I’ve learned how to actually love the job I do, instead of just showing up.”

Green’s Optical offers optical care and products, including prescription lenses, sunglasses, kids’ eyewear, and occupational and safety eyewear.

Broughton has been working in optical since 2016. After earning her opticianry degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond in 2017, she obtained her license and certification. Broughton has worked at Green’s Optical since June 2019.
