Lamb Exterminating, located at Gloucester Point, recently added another environmentally friendly service, owner Chris Lamb said.

The firm is now offering a green mosquito control program. All of his company’s exterminating services are 100 percent environmentally friendly, he said.

Sales representative Chris Fisher said the mosquito service is available on a one-time or contract basis. He said that technicians carry a back-mounted mist unit to spray yards and wooded areas. In this way, he said, technicians can target “harborage, or the mosquito hot spots.” The mist is derived from plant oils, Fisher said, and poses no harm to humans or animals.

Lamb said his company also treats for termites, ants, and other pests, as well as provides moisture control barriers. The company’s service area includes the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck and Peninsula.
