Green Hand Produce, located on Route 17 at White Marsh, will hold a season grand opening celebration from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

New manager Teresa Lackey of Gloucester, said the promotion is being held as a way for residents to see the expanded line of products the stand now stocks. Vendors will participate and offer tastings, she said.

Sandy J. Wise, also of Gloucester, is the new assistant manager. David Hand of Warsaw owns Green Hand Produce and the adjacent Green Hand Nursery, which features live plants and seasonal activities like a corn maze and a pumpkin patch.

Because of the change in management, Green Hand Produce got off to a late start this year, Lackey said, but plans are for the stand to be open for business from March through late December.

Fresh produce from local fields will be featured, with the selection varying as the seasons change.
