Green Gates holds grand reopening

Green Gates Gifts, located on Route 17, Gloucester Point, held a grand reopening on Aug. 27.

Owner Lee Ann Kirkley of Hayes, closed the local store for several months while it was renovated, store manager Arlene Templeman said. Kirkley also recently closed its sister store at Peninsula Town Center in Hampton.

The refurbished Gloucester Point store provides expanded inventory, including some merchandise that had been featured at the Hampton shop, sales associate Jaye P. Johnson said.

Templeman said Green Gates has expanded its jewelry lines and also stocks more nautical gifts and furniture than it did previously.

 

A selection of greeting cards that contain decorative flags has been added, Johnson said, and Green Gates sells Christmas ornaments (many with a nautical theme) year-round, with more holiday items displayed closer to Christmas. There’s also plenty of artwork for sale.
