Grant training to be held next month at RCC

The Gloucester Community Foundation and the Mathews Community Foundation, affiliates of the Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia, will host GiveGloucester and GiveMathews portrait training for local nonprofits Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. until noon in Room 152 of Rappahannock Community College’s Glenns campus.

Portraits are required of most organizations applying for competitive grants from the local foundations. Exempt organizations include churches, fire and rescue departments, public schools and government agencies.

This training will allow nonprofits that do not have a portrait to learn how to create one, and will also allow those with current portraits to make updates and additions. The session will be held in a computer lab, allowing for hands-on training with GiveRichmond coordinator Phil Giaramita.

Reservations for this training are required. Register online by visiting www.tcfrichmond.org.
