Gloucester Point Baptist Church will be sending a team to Roanoke the week of July 6-12 to work with Impact Mission Camps. A couple of fundraisers are planned in the coming weeks to help with expenses.
Impact is an intense mission experience for youth groups. Students work all day on a job site doing construction-based jobs to help make homes safer, warmer and drier. The campers spend mornings and evenings in worship and meet youth from other churches and work alongside them.
The first fundraiser is a spaghetti dinner/silent auction from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the church, which is located at 7741 Terrapin Cove Road. The cost for the spaghetti dinner is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 10; eat-in and take out dining options are available.
Tickets will be available at the event or online at https://subsplash.com/gloucesterpointbaptistch/lb/ev/+qywchv. For more information, to purchase tickets or make a donation to the silent auction, call Sharon Warren at 757-879-0862.
