Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School seniors presented their independent research projects at the 70th annual Virginia Junior Academy of Sciences meeting last month at the University of Richmond.
Each student at CBGS undertakes an independent research project in his or her junior year, culminating in submission to VJAS in March. Approximately 1,000 papers were submitted for review from students all over the commonwealth, of these approximately 600 were selected to be presented at the May meeting.
Research is submitted in 19 categories including Agriculture, Physics, Psychology, Consumer Science, Engineering and Environmental Science. The following is a list of Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School VJAS winners:
