All three Republican candidates for statewide office were in Gloucester this past weekend to take part in a rally on Saturday afternoon at the Gloucester Institute. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote parts of his “I Have a Dream” speech while sitting outside this home looking out on the York River, and all three candidates alluded to the slain civil rights leader in their remarks to those gathered at Holly Knoll’s front porch. The event was sponsored by the Gloucester County Republican Committee.
