GMHS to hold Family Fun Day

The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will hold its fourth annual Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at its shelter on 6620 Jackson Lane, Gloucester.

The event is being held to honor the contributions that Middle Peninsula residents, businesses and organizations have made to further the GMHS mission of caring for animals in need, a release stated.

During the event, attendees will enjoy dog agility, obedience and rally demonstrations by the Gloucester Kennel Club. Gloucester’s K-9 officer Rexi will also be on hand to showcase her skills in law enforcement. The event features local vendors/artisans, Bubbles the Clown, face-painting, games for the kids and food trucks (Big Mike’s BBQ, Shorty’s Coastal Comfort, Baggetti’s Snow Cone Catering, and Jones Cones). Shelter tours will be given every hour. Four-legged family members are welcome.
