The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will host its second annual Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the shelter located at 6620 Jackson Lane, Gloucester.
Family Fun Day is held to honor the contributions that Middle Peninsula residents, businesses and organizations have made to further the GMHS mission of caring for animals in need, a release noted.
During the event, attendees may watch dog agility, search and rescue, canine massage and training demonstrations, as well as shelter tours. There will be games, face painting, and a DJ. Adoption fees will be 50 percent off for qualified adopters.
“Family Fun Day is a great opportunity for GMHS to thank the Middle Peninsula for years of support and dedication, as well as recognize devoted community business partners and individual volunteers, whose generosity and kindness ensures GMHS will continue to operate,” the release stated.
