The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will hold two events next weekend at the shelter, which is located at 6620 Jackson Lane, Gloucester.
GMHS will have its first-ever “Cornhole Tournament & Shelter Party” from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the shelter. Entry is $10 cash per player. Singles and teams are welcome. The winning team will take home 50 percent of the entry fees. There will be food and drinks. This is a family-friendly event.
The following day, GMHS will have “Paint a Pet” from 1-3 p.m. in its lobby. Participants can paint their own pet or a shelter pet. Necessary supplies will be provided. No registration is required for this free event.
