The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society has announced the opening of its “Unleash Your Heart for the Love of Paws” annual online auction, and its $100,000 Matching Gift Challenge.

From now until Jan. 31, the organization seeks to raise $100,000 in monetary donations to be matched by an anonymous donor.

Monetary donations made to GMHS and dated through Jan. 31, 2022 are eligible to be matched. Donations may be made online at gmhumanesociety.org/donate, by phone at 804-693-5520 ext. 104 and by mail at P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.

Virtual tickets are on sale now for the annual online auction, which offers a gala-to-go bag filled with delicious treats for people and pets. Bags are available for pickup Jan. 28.
