GMCC to hold ‘Walk-In Wednesday’ monthly public tours

Beginning next month, the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic will open its doors once a month to the public, offering residents a closer look at what is available to them.
The first “Walk-In Wednesday” tour will be held on Wednesday, July 2. Visitors are invited to come in anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a look at the dental and medical facility, pharmacy and lab, and to learn about how to enroll as a patient. Subsequent Walk-In Wednesdays will be held on the first Wednesday of the month.
For local small business owners and managers, this is a chance to learn about health care services for employees who may not have insurance or know that care is available close by, a release stated.
GMCC opened in 1998 to provide low-to-no cost quality medical care for the uninsured in our community. Since then, programs and services have expanded to meet the needs of the growing population in Gloucester and Mathews.
