GMCC to hold ‘Luck O’ The Irish’ dinner, online auction

While the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic is unable to hold its signature Casino Night fundraiser due to COVID-19, it has come up with another way to raise funds to help local residents without health insurance get the help they need.The clinic invites people to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a traditional Irish dinner in its “Luck O’ The Irish” Dinner-to-Go & Online Auction.

Meals will be prepared by Waypoint Seafood & Grill, Williamsburg. A dinner bag for two includes corned beef and cabbage, boiled red potatoes with mustard, soda bread, potato and leek soup, and Guinness chocolate dessert.The price of the dinner for two is $81; orders must be placed online by March 8 to be available for pickup from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at GMCC, 6031 Industrial Drive, Gloucester.

Participants are encouraged to round up their contribution to an even $100, with the extra $19 donation for “you know, in honor of COVID-19,” according to the website.
