GMCC and its pharmacy receive donations from Mainsail

The Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic received a big boost Monday in support of its Morgan Family Pharmacy.

Mainsail Wealth Advisors, an independent financial firm in Gloucester, presented clinic officials a check for $1,000 to benefit the pharmacy.

The clinic’s pharmacy is named for the late L.V. “Happy” Morgan, who bought an existing Gloucester jewelry/pharmacy store in 1924, and his sons Harvey and the late James Morgan, who both worked as pharmacists there for many years. Harvey Morgan said the family sold their Morgan’s Drug Store in 1990.

“This is quite an honor,” Harvey Morgan said of the clinic naming its pharmacy after his family. He volunteered as a pharmacist at the clinic for a number of years, while Scott Glaze, one of Mainsail’s managing partners, has served as a volunteer there more recently.
