The Gloucester Main Street Association launched the 2014 season of its Summer Nights Markets on June 4.
The markets are scheduled from 4:30-7 p.m. each Wednesday in June, July and August on Carriage Court behind the Gloucester Museum of History.
A special market, “Live Life Stronger,” is planned for next Wednesday, June 18, said Ashley Gilmartin, executive director of the Gloucester Main Street Association. A program will be presented by Tidewater Performance and Tidewater Physical Therapy, whose staff will be on hand to measure grip strength and participants’ ability to jump.
A leader board will be set up so participants can measure their ability. “Get inspired while having some fun,” Gilmartin said of the fitness program.
