Gloucester’s Fox Mill Centre expanding

Gloucester’s Fox Mill Centre is filling up with new tenants, something that is exciting for developer Bob Kubicki after enduring the economic slowdown.

With the economy on a rebound, Kubicki said, more national companies are starting to look at new locations. He and his representatives are trying to lure a mix of retail stores and restaurants to the shopping center just south of Gloucester Court House.

Besides a new section under development that has a few retail places still to be filled, Kubicki said he has several small spaces in existing sections of the center that he is trying to lease.

During a visit to Gloucester on Oct. 25, Kubicki said the latest lease is for Sport Clips, a haircut shop geared to men with lots of televisions for sports viewing, which is expected to open in a 1,400-square-foot space next spring in a new 60,000-square-foot addition now under construction to the south of the Walmart Supercenter in the rear of the center.
