Gloucester wrestlers dominate MHS, 57-12

Gloucester High School wrestlers commanded last Wednesday’s match with the Group A grapplers from Mathews, allowing the Blue Devils only one win on the way to a 57-12 victory on the GHS mat.

Gloucester winners included Anthony Monahan with a 3-1 decision over Caleb Miller at 106, Isaac Osorio with a technical fall of Sam Moore in 5:50 at 120, Cecil Osorio with a 4-0 decision over Sean Rhodes at 126, Jordan Schall with a 6-0 decision over Matt Rouland at 132 and A.J. Ransom with a pin of Eric Johnson in 5:59 at 145. Ransom was trailing 9-6 with one second remaining in the third period when he got the pin.

Also winning for the Dukes, Ethan Newell took a 5-0 decision over Quentin Shaefer at 152, Robert Leso won over Billy Bower at 160 by injury default, Devon Pullen pinned A.J. White in 1:34 at 170, Landon Smith at 182 earned a 13-5 major decision over Jared Inge and Micah VanNess at 195 pinned Austin Fravel in 5:03.
