Gloucester woman charged with soliciting murder

A 32-year-old Gloucester woman was arrested Friday and charged with five counts of solicitation to commit murder. Becky Lee West of Brook Court allegedly solicited Tracy Lynn Simmons of Gloucester to murder victims and witnesses involved in a home invasion robbery case in which West’s brother was the accused.

West’s brother, Joseph Lee Belvin, pleaded guilty in May and was sentenced in August to 64 years in prison for the December 2010 home invasion at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jamerson Sr. of Gloucester. The solicitations for murder allegedly began in April.

The Jamersons, who were injured in the robbery, were allegedly two of the persons West solicited Simmons to murder, along with their son, Dennis Jamerson Jr. The arrest warrants name Sandra Elias and Kelly Fuqua as the other two targets.
