Gloucester Wetlands Board approves shoreline project

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved one shoreline improvement project during a meeting Nov. 12 in the colonial courthouse.

Carl V. Yutzy was granted authorization for the construction of a living shoreline to include sills, beach nourishment and spartina plantings, said Linda Walthall, permit technician in the Gloucester Environmental Programs Office.
The project is adjacent to property situated along the North River at 8850 Waverley Lane.

Following its meeting, the wetlands board sat as the Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation & Erosion Commission. The commission, like the board, only had one application before it.

Judith A. Doyel was granted a buffer modification for the construction of a detached garage with office. The property is situated along the Ware River at 8651 Marshfield Lane.
