Gloucester Wetlands Board approves shoreline improvements

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board reviewed several requests for Gloucester residents during its Feb. 9 meeting.

Guy and Deborah Brand of Rosewell Drive sought authorization to construct 107 feet of riprap revetment landward of mean high water. The board approved that request unanimously.

Julie and Robbie Childress of Pinewold Lane sought permission to reconstruct and upgrade existing riprap revetment and install riprap still with sand backfill along the landward side of an existing marsh fringe. The board unanimously approved the project with the sill portion of the project removed.

The H. Blair and Tabb T. Farinholt Revocable Trust requested authorization to cap 45 feet of existing armor and construct 114 feet of armor stone revetment dressed with beach nourishment and vegetation, as well as install a 60-foot stone breakwater with 170 cubic yards of beach nourishment and 2,600 square feet of wetlands vegetation planting.
