The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved the lone application for shoreline improvements during a meeting Sept. 13 in the colonial courthouse.
Dan McKinney was granted permission to construct a 276-linear-foot bulkhead to property situated along the York River at 5874 York Haven Lane.
Following its meeting, the wetlands board sat as the Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation & Erosion Commission. The commission held public hearings on two requests for buffer modifications.
John Selmer was given the go-ahead for a buffer modification to the required 100-foot Resource Protection Area, said Linda Walthall, administrator coordinator for Gloucester Environmental Programs. Selmer’s application was for an after-the-fact project to construct a 50-foot by 48-foot pole barn to replace a pre-existing structure. The proposed project location is 10284 Vidaurri Lane.
