Gloucester to hold hazardous waste collection on Oct. 21

Gloucester County will hold a collection of hazardous household waste from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Guinea Road Convenience Center near the corner of Guinea Road and Route 17 at Hayes.

Gloucester residents can also safely dispose of painting supplies, including paints, solvents, thinners, epoxies and wood preservatives, Bowie said. Additional items that will be collected for safe disposal include yard, gardening and household chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides, toxic and caustic household cleaners, mercury and pool chemicals.
