Gloucester to conduct exterior reviews of all county properties

All Gloucester residents can expect members of the county’s Real Estate Assessment Department to conduct exterior reviews of their properties over the next six to eight months. The reviews will begin in the Gloucester Point district on Monday and will continue north through the county until all reviews are completed.

“This has been long awaited,” said county assessor Derek Green. The primary goal of the exterior review is to take new street images of every parcel in the county. The majority of the last street images were taken in 2005.

“We also want to review any external physical changes,” Green said. Each member of the assessment team will be equipped with a tablet loaded with Pictometry software to allow team members to make sure records are up to date without the team member having to physically step on the property.
