Gloucester teens receive Volunteer Service Awards

Five local teens were recently recognized by the Gloucester County Public Library as recipients of the 2018 President’s Volunteer Service Award. Library spokesperson Sissi Mise said the PVSA is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.

Recipients included Sarah Coates, 15, with 66.5 hours of service; Alexandra Cullison, 15, with 76 hours of service; Maveron Cloer, 14, with 154 hours of service; Sarah Starcher, 15, with 51.5 hours of service and Travis Moore, 15, with 52.5 hours of service.

PVSA is an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service and is administered by the Points of Light program.
