Gloucester County Public Schools has announced its 2011-2012 Teachers of the Year. The selected teachers will be honored with a reception and dinner hosted by the GCPS Educational Foundation beginning at 5:30 p.m. on May 17 at Gloucester High School.

Greta Reed and Deb Riley were named the Teachers of the Year at GHS. Michael Cole received the recognition at Peasley Middle School and Kim Pickett at Page Middle School.

The selected elementary school honorees are Tracy Shaw at Abingdon, Christy Phillips at Achilles, Roberta Shifflett at Bethel, Pamela Cheresnowsky at Botetourt, Rebecca Slater at Petsworth and Nancy Spicer at T.C. Walker.
