The Gloucester County Public Schools Educational Foundation fifteenth annual 8K and 3K run/walk will be held on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Gloucester High School. A virtual 5K option is available through Saturday as well.
The run will impact vehicle traffic on Short Lane and surrounding neighborhoods including the Dunston Hall and Ladysmeade subdivisions.
The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office will assist with traffic control on both Short Lane and T.C. Walker Road. Travel lanes on Short Lane will be reduced to a single lane during the event. This will only be between Dunston Hall subdivision and the T.C. Walker Road intersection. Expect some minor delays during the event and be mindful of participants and volunteers, a release stated.
Saturday’s event will raise funds for the 2026 Teacher of the Year Recognition in May and classroom mini-grants to be awarded in November/December. Mini-grants, which are up to $500 each, cover a wide range of classroom needs addressing advanced technology, arts, reading, special education, etc. These grants can be used over multiple years to enhance the educational experience of Gloucester County students.
Online registration for the race has ended, but same-day registration is welcome; however, there is an increased cost to participate. For more information, contact GCEFR-ace@gmail.com.
