The Gloucester County School Board made several personnel appointments during its Aug. 8 meeting.

Melissa Mygas of Yorktown was appointed as the assistant principal at Botetourt Elementary and Jocelyn Small of Newport News was named a speech language pathologist, both effective Aug. 14. 

Appointed to teaching positions for the 2017-2018 school year were Julie Drummer of Hayes, Lisa Parzanese of Cardinal, and John Hendrix II and Jonathon Nelson, both of Gloucester.

Also, Amber Los of Hayes was appointed as a teacher assistant and Alicia Spencer of Gloucester was appointed to a support services position. 

The board additionally accepted resignations from Achilles Elementary library assistant Sharon Parr and Page Middle School in-school suspension coordinator Alaina Walker.  ...
