Gloucester Schools holds new employee orientation today

New employees with Gloucester County Public School gathered for an orientation session this morning at the T.C. Walker Education Center. The school division expects about 50 new teachers and administrators for the 2014-2015 academic session, which begins Sept. 2.

All teachers and administrators for the school division are scheduled to report for work and schools will resume regular hours on Monday. A convocation for instructional personnel will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at Gloucester High School.

During the convocation, the teachers and administrators are expected to hear from Gloucester Education Association President Brian McGovern, Gloucester Community Foundation Vice Chairman Warren Deal, school division superintendent Walter Clemons and the 2013-2014 GCPS Teacher of the Year Jennifer Worrell.
