Gloucester school system presents CIP request to county

At a joint school board/supervisors’ meeting on Oct. 19, Gloucester County Public Schools’ Executive Director of Operations Bryan Hartley presented the school board’s CIP requests for 2023 through 2027 to county supervisors, totaling $62,550,701.

The completion of the Gloucester High School renovations was one of two major projects presented. Hartley said the completed project addresses aspects of the renovations that were not included in the previously funded request, such as the renovations to the auditorium and the resizing of classrooms. The completion of the renovation would cost $34,400,000.

The other major project is the renovation of the athletic complex at the high school. The project totaling $8,104,304 would see the buildings of the sports complex updated to modern standards and would resurface the tennis court and track. The project also includes the football field’s grass replaced with artificial turf.
