Gloucester school personnel appointed

Amanda Williams of Hayes was appointed as an English teacher at Gloucester High School by the Gloucester County School Board in its special meeting June 30. The appointment is effective for the 2017-2018 school year. 

In position changes, Daniel Burnett was promoted from assistant shop foreman to transportation shop manager, effective July 1. Also, Botetourt Elementary third grade teacher Gaye Murphy was named a gifted education specialist, effective Aug. 7. 

Resignations were accepted from Peasley Middle School nurse Judy Parker, effective July 27, and GHS technology education teacher Samuel Ketner, effective June 27. A resignation was also accepted from support services employee Thomas Lindemann, effective July 14.
