Gloucester School Board approves personnel appointments

The Gloucester School Board approved several new personnel appointments during its Nov. 10 meeting.

Michael Rice of Gloucester was appointed to teach criminal justice at Gloucester High School, effective Oct. 22, and Bethany Blake of Hartfield was appointed to teach English at GHS, effective Nov. 9. Also, Carolyn Vasta was appointed as a division-wide mentor for the current school year.

Appointed to teacher assistant positions were Andrea Hawley, Paulette Lawrence, and Carlie Prater, all of Gloucester. The appointments are effective Nov. 16, Oct. 26 and Nov. 9, respectively.

Appointed to support services positions effective in November were Alyssa Talbot of Gloucester Point and Jessica Warren of Williamsburg. Appointed to support services positions effective Dec. 1 were Raymond Durant III of Gloucester, Brittany Maciolek of Cobbs Creek, Jennifer Page of Hayes and Eric Widegren of Williamsburg.
