Gloucester School Board approves personnel actions

The Gloucester School Board appointed Vernice Hunter of Hayes to a support services position, effective July 1, and made several personnel appointments for the 2020-2021 school year during its electronic meeting on May 12.

Appointed to teaching positions for the coming school year were Stacie Horrell, Amanda McDonald and Casey Perry, all of Gloucester; Mychal Molnar of White Stone; Amy Weigartz of Quinton; Jennifer Newhouse of Murfreesboro, North Carolina and Shayna Wofford of Peoria, Arizona.

Also, Amy Trowbridge of Onemo was appointed as a school counselor at Bethel Elementary for the 2020-2021 school year.

In supplemental appointments, Jennifer Tingley was named the Acting Director of Special Education and Travis Patrick was named the Lead Special Education Teacher, both effective July 1.
