Gloucester School Board approves personnel actions

Pamela Carpenter of Hayes was appointed as an eighth grade civics teacher at Page Middle School during personnel action taken at the Dec. 12 Gloucester County School Board meeting.

She replaces Stephanie Vermeire, whose resignation was accepted at the school board meeting. The board also accepted the resignation of Gloucester High School assistant principal Cecil Avery, the resignation of custodian Virginia Robinson, and retirements for GHS office associate Irene Morgan and facilities technician Edward Barry.

Kathryn Pearson of Mathews was appointed as a custodian at Peasley Middle School. Russell Keefe of the division’s facilities department was named custodial foreman at Petsworth Elementary.

The following sports coaching appointments were made: Jason Burns (assistant varsity softball), Lillian Collier (assistant varsity girls’ soccer), Scott Haley (assistant varsity boys’ soccer), Peter Lebel (junior varsity boys’ soccer) and Evelyn Whitt (JV softball). Th...
