Gloucester School Board appoints two teachers

The Gloucester County School Board approved the appointment of two teachers—Cassandra Sanchez of Hayes, and Melinda Matuszweski of Jamaica—among personnel actions it took during its Feb. 23 meeting.

Edward Muddiman Jr. of North, was appointed to a support services position, effective Feb. 22.

Resignations were accepted from Botetourt Elementary teachers Julie Drummer and Natalie Shepherd and Gloucester High School history teacher Douglas Campbell, all effective at the end of the current school year. A resignation was also accepted from Botetourt teacher assistant Charity Scouten, effective Feb. 8.

In addition, retirement was approved for GHS teacher Michelle Waravdekar, effective July 1.
